Job summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Lead Technician – Education and Training (Pharmacy Aseptic Services) to lead the development and delivery of education for the aseptic workforce. You will mentor colleagues, create clear career paths and collaborate with QA to strengthen training and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Pharmacy or Science Manufacturing Technician (SMT).
• Professional registration (e.g. GPhC, RCP, RSB, RSC).
• Recognised assessor, educational supervisor or teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake relevant training.
• Completed recognised leadership programmes (e.g. NHS Leadership Academy) or Level 3 in Management and Leadership, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate structured induction, training programmes or accreditation processes.
• Deliver practical training and competency assessments.
• Maintain training records, competency matrices and accreditation records.
• Develop and review training materials, frameworks, SOPs and learning resources.
• Provide coaching and feedback to colleagues to build aseptic competence.
• Identify training needs with QA to support continuous improvement.
