Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants for a Sutton-based ASD provision. The role is full-time and long-term, designed to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a nurturing environment with small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally. DBS checks and references are required, with safeguarding as a priority.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is essential.
• Experience working with pupils with ASD is preferred but not required.
• Experience in an educational or care setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD within the specialist provision.
• Support pupils to access learning, engage in lessons, and achieve individual targets.
• Implement EHCPs and personalised support strategies to meet students' needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
