Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support students with PMLD and SEMH at a specialist college in Wallington. The role runs full-time, with hours 8:45am–4:00pm, Monday to Thursday, supporting learning and daily activities and providing personal care when required.

Experience with SEND or care is desirable but not essential; commitment for the full academic year and ASAP start are expected. DBS checks and safeguarding requirements apply as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and positive approach.
• Willingness to provide personal care.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND or in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to commit for the full academic year and start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with PMLD in the classroom and around the college.
• Assisting students with their learning and daily activities.
• Providing personal care where required.
• Supporting students who use wheelchairs and have complex physical needs.
• Working closely with teaching staff to ensure students receive the highest level of support.
