Job summary

Longwood Primary Academy is opening an Alternative Resource Provision (ARP) for children with ASD. The Learning Support Assistant - Additional Resources Provision (SEND) will oversee and deliver day-to-day interventions within the provision, with opportunities to work in the mainstream classroom where appropriate.

The role begins January 2027. The post includes offsite training at another ARP, tailored planning and support ahead of the opening, and a collaborative Trust-wide environment with

Qualifications

• Essential requirements: Level 3 qualification (or currently working towards achieving).
• Ability to use ICT and learn new skills.
• Working in partnership with specialist teacher to support pupils needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver day-to-day interventions within the ARP.
• Work with pupils in ASD-focused setting and support integration with mainstream where appropriate.
