Job description

Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst

Location: West Midlands (including Birmingham, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and surrounding areas)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Working Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Leave: 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of asbestos surveys—including Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition—across commercial, domestic, and industrial properties, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct asbestos surveys in line with HSG264 and company procedures.
  • Collect bulk samples and ensure safe handling and transportation to accredited laboratories.
  • Produce detailed and accurate survey reports using industry software.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
  • Maintain equipment and PPE in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • BOHS P402/3/4 (or RSPH equivalent) qualification - essential.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in asbestos surveying.
  • Full UK driving licence - essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and work occasional nights/weekends if required.
Desirable
  • Experience with TEAMS asbestos reporting software.
  • Knowledge of UKAS accreditation requirements.
