Penguin Recruitment seeks an experienced Asbestos Surveyor for work across commercial, industrial, healthcare and education sites in Manchester and the North West. The role involves independent fieldwork supported by a technical team, delivering surveys compliant with HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.

The successful candidate will hold BOHS P402, have UKAS environment exposure if possible, and possess a full UK driving licence, with strong report-writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification is essential.
• Previous experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Experience in a UKAS-accredited environment is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across various property types.
• Produce accurate, detailed survey reports compliant with regulations.
• Work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, infrastructure and public sector sites.
• Manage your own diary and workload effectively.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and site representatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and survey documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation and internal quality procedures.

The Role

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering high:quality asbestos surveying services across a diverse portfolio of client sites.

Working independently while benefiting from the support of an established technical and operational team, youll ensure surveys are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with HSG264, current asbestos legislation, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
