Penguin Recruitment is supporting a UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in Cannock to recruit an experienced Asbestos Surveyor. You will perform Management and R&D surveys across diverse property types, complying with HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.

You will work independently with support from an operations team, handling schedules, reporting, and client liaison. A full UK driving licence and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Essential BOHS P402 qualification.
Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor.
Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Ability to manage workload independently.
Professional, organised and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property types.
Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports.
Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector sites.
Managing your own diary and workload efficiently.
Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Maintaining accurate electronic survey records and documentation.
Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys across Cannock and the surrounding Midlands region.
