Randstad are partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing safety and compliance businesses for this dual role of Asbestos Surveyor. Our client isn't looking for someone to just blend into the background; they want a trusted professional who genuinely enjoys being out in the field and taking charge of both surveying and analytical duties. If you thrive in a dynamic role where your expertise directly impacts site safety and abatement projects, and you want an employer that rewards your hard work with a completely transparent, stress-free package, this could be the perfect fit.

Location: Central Belt, Scotland

Package:
  • 25 days holiday (increasing 1 day per year of service)
  • Stakeholder Pension, Life cover, Employee Assistance Programme, and a Health policy
  • Total flexibility to choose a standard company car, a commercial van, or opt for a cash allowance
What you’ll actually be doing day-to-day:
  • You’ll travel to various client premises to competently undertake technical asbestos inspections, bulk sampling, and testing.
  • You’ll step into a management capacity for abatement schemes, ensuring everything aligns with legislative guidance, LARC, PoW, and internal RAMs.

  • Using modern reporting formats like PDAs, you’ll produce highly accurate survey data, factual test reports, method statements, and detailed site plans.
  • You will help train up newer staff, provide proactive feedback to management on site conditions, and offer clear, impartial advice to build strong client relationships.
  • You’ll strictly adhere to the UKAS accredited management system, stay on top of your own quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) schemes, and take proper care of your allocated vehicle and equipment.
What you need to bring to the table:
  • Must hold both your BOHS P402 and your BOHS P403/P404 (or the RSPH equivalents).
  • Maintain valid personal site access accreditation’s, like a CSCS card.
  • Additional qualifications like a BOHS P406, W504 (S301), or a Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA) are advantageous

  • Have a highly methodical mentality, be IT literate, and comfortable working under your own initiative, and armed with a flexible, problem-solving "can-do" attitude.
Why you'll love the setup:

  • Fair Overtime: Enjoy a straightforward, fixed-rate structure for any weekend or night shifts.
  • Your Ride, Your Choice: Total flexibility to choose a standard company car (like a hybrid estate), a commercial van, or opt for a cash allowance.
  • Real Career Progression: Our client has a fantastic culture of promoting from within, meaning you can build a long-term, rewarding career with a management team that truly understands what you do.
