Asbestos Surveyor

Up to £36,000 dependant on experience

My client, a prominent consultancy specialising in environmental compliance and risk management in the UK, is looking to grow their team by recruiting an Asbestos Surveyor. This key addition will help them achieve their goal of assisting some of the UK’s largest and most respected organisations in safeguarding the health and safety of their people, the wider community, and their reputation.

As the successful Asbestos Surveyor, you will be joining an organisation that specialises in providing solutions to help businesses stay compliant while managing environmental risks, including hazards such as Asbestos.

Additionally, they are seeking an Asbestos Surveyor who can demonstrate a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, consistently giving their best effort while upholding the core values of the company.

Essential Requirements which allow you to successful as an Asbestos Surveyor:

• BOHS P402 Qualification or RSPH equivalent
• A full, valid UK drivers’ licence
• A positive, proactive approach to working
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities you will hold as an Asbestos Surveyor:

• Sampling in accordance with HSG 264 and Quality Manual
• Experience of building inspections for asbestos management and demolition/refurbishment surveys
• Experience of producing site drawings and undertaking technical quality assurance of data
• Understanding of Asbestos legislation, guidance, and Quality Manual requirements
• Monthly reporting of exposure records and RPE inspections
• Carry out Technical Quality Assurance checks prior to report being issued to client
• Ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated and tools are correctly maintained to specified level in HSG 264
