Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to support an established environmental consultancy in recruiting an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to cover Nottingham and the East Midlands. You will conduct Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys across domestic and commercial properties, adhering to HSG264 and UKAS procedures.

The role requires independence, strong report writing, and a solid understanding of asbestos legislation.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Responsibilities

• Deliver Management, Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys per HSG264
• Survey across domestic and commercial properties in the East Midlands
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling according to procedures
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
• Manage your own diary and workload effectively
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor looking to join a stable consultancy offering a structured workload, strong operational support, and a consistent pipeline of work across domestic and commercial properties. THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will carry out asbestos surveys across a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial properties throughout the East Midlands.

Working independently and as part of an experienced team, you will deliver high:quality surveying services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering Management, Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Working across a range of domestic and commercial properties
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling in accordance with company procedures
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey reports
• Managing your own diary and workload effectively
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures

What Were Looking For

• BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS:accredited consultancy
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report:writing skills
• Professional, reliable, and quality:focused approach to work
