Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their team in Cannock, covering Cannock and the Midlands. You will perform Management and Refurbishment & Demolition surveys, ensuring compliance with HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.

The role offers structured workload support, diary management, and professional development within a UKAS-accredited consultancy environment. A full UK driving licence and strong reporting skills are required.

Qualifications

BOHS P402 qualification (essential).
Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor.
Strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage workload independently.
Professional, organised and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in Cannock and the Midlands.
Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property types.
Produce accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports.
Work across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector sites.
Manage your own diary and workload efficiently.
Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.
Maintain accurate electronic survey records and documentation.
Ensure all work complies with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys across Cannock and the surrounding Midlands region.

Working independently with the support of an experienced operations team, you will deliver accurate and professional surveying services while ensuring all work complies with HSG264, current asbestos legislation, and HSE guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across a range of property types
