Job summary

Rentokil Initial Group is seeking an Asbestos Operative to cover the Midlands. This full-time role involves performing asbestos removal, encapsulation and environmental cleaning to support our customers' safety and compliance.

You will work within DCUK FM Ltd guidelines, adhere to Plans of Work and UK health and safety standards, and report any PPE or equipment issues promptly. A DBS check may be required for certain roles.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of asbestos removal experience.
• Full UK manual driving licence preferred but not essential.
• Asbestos awareness training completed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Remove asbestos, encapsulate, and perform environmental cleaning in assigned sites within the Midlands.
• Follow Plans of Work, UK legislation, and company health and safety procedures.
• Follow directions from the Asbestos Removal Supervisor.
• Maintain and report any PPE/equipment faults promptly.

We are currently seeking an Asbestos Operative to join our dedicated team, covering the Midlands.

The Role

Your role as an Asbestos Operative will involve covering a dedicated geographical area and providing support to our customers by resolving their asbestos issues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing asbestos removal, encapsulation, and environmental cleaning within the Utilities Sector.
• Adhering strictly to the issued Plans of Work, current UK legislation, comprehensive specifications, and the DCUK FM Ltd Standard Operating Procedures and Health and Safety guidelines.
• Following directives from the Asbestos Removal Supervisor.
• Ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and care of all provided Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protective Equipment, and Asbestos Removal plant and equipment, immediately reporting any malfunctions or defects.

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience removing asbestos
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is preferred but is not essential
• Asbestos Awareness Training
• A can-do attitude, and the ability to use your own initiative
• Great communication and customer service skills with a keen, enthusiastic and friendly approach
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
