We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and qualified Asbestos Analyst to join our team, supporting a range of domestic, commercial, and industrial projects in Orpington and the surrounding regions. This role is ideal for candidates with 6–12 months of field experience, looking to grow within a company committed to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out air monitoring, fibre counting, and 4-stage clearance procedures in accordance with HSG248.
- Conduct reassurance, background, leak, and personal air testing.
- Produce detailed and accurate analytical reports for clients and internal records.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and site personnel professionally and clearly.
- Maintain and calibrate sampling equipment according to UKAS (ISO/IEC 17025) procedures.
- Adhere to all relevant legislation including Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012 and internal quality systems.
Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
Candidates must hold the following BOHS or equivalent certifications:
- P404 – Air Sampling of Asbestos and Requirements for a Certificate of Reoccupation
- (P402 also beneficial for candidates seeking progression into combined surveyor/analyst roles)
- RSPH Level 3 equivalents will also be considered.
- Knowledge of HSG248 (Asbestos Analyst’s Guide) and working under UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 standards is required.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of on-site experience conducting asbestos air monitoring and clearance procedures.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the use of phase contrast microscopy (PCM) for fibre counting.

- Ability to work independently and manage site schedules effectively.
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel to sites across the region.
