Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They utilize various tools to minimize loss to the company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink elimination culture within the store.

Additional responsibilities include:

1. Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
2. Preserving evidence and interacting with law enforcement.
3. Testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings.
4. Reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
5. Carrying out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes injury risks to oneself, other associates, vendors, customers, and the company.

The Asset Protection Specialist must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
