Job summary

Berneslai Homes in Barnsley is seeking an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join our customer-focused team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will investigate and manage ASB cases, advocate for residents, coordinate responses and provide specialist advice.

The role involves risk assessment, case management, escalating where needed, and building strong links with internal and external partners to sustain tenancies and improve neighbourhood safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing, including ASB, tenancy management or community safety work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and bespoke IT systems.
• Customer-focused and responsive service orientation.
• Understanding of equality and diversity in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage ASB cases to create safer neighbourhoods.
• Advocate for customers and coordinate responses to ASB.
• Use risk assessments and low-level legal interventions for outcomes.
• Prioritise and manage caseload; prepare quality case files for escalation.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners.
