Job summary

Rother Street Arts House in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking an Arts Engagement Coordinator to lead the planning and delivery of community arts activities. You will coordinate workshops, engage diverse audiences, and work on-site to foster participation across the town.

You'll collaborate with artists, schools, and local groups, support outreach, assist with marketing, collect feedback, and contribute to funding proposals, helping to grow the venue's visible impact on the local arts scene.

Qualifications

• Experience in arts administration or community engagement, planning and coordinating events, workshops, or participatory projects.
• Ability to build relationships with artists, community organisations, schools, and local groups.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, including scheduling, record-keeping, and managing multiple projects.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for outreach, marketing support, and stakeholder correspondence.
• Comfort with using basic digital tools (e.g., email, office software, social media platforms) to support programme promotion and participant communication.
• Knowledge or interest in theatre, live performance, and community arts, with a commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
• Ability to work on-site, respond proactively to day-to-day venue needs, and support occasional evening or weekend events.
• Relevant education or training in arts management, community development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
