Job summary

The University of Warwick's Warwick Arts Centre is seeking a Visitor Experience Assistant to support visitor services across our four spaces, three cinemas, Mead Gallery and foyer in Coventry. You will handle signposting, ticket checking, invigilating artworks, and selling snacks and merchandise, while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for diverse audiences during evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly and passionate.
• They possess excellent communication skills, and are able to engage with visitors in a friendly, confident, and efficient manner.
• A reliable, professional approach with a positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential.
• They will also be able to prioritise tasks under pressure, have a strong attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve proactively.

Responsibilities

• Work across all visitor services areas to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
• Respond promptly and appropriately in the event of unplanned situations.
• Be knowledgeable and approachable to assist visitors with queries or signposting around the building.
• From checking tickets to invigilating artwork, to selling snacks, drinks, ice cream and merchandise; undertake a variety of tasks and interact with a range of audiences.
