Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking an Artistic Learning Support Worker for a well-established SEND school in Shropshire. You will use creative and sensory-based approaches to help pupils engage with education and develop life skills in a caring environment.

You will work one-to-one and in groups, supporting communication, confidence and personalised learning targets. The role requires collaboration with teachers and a commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Background in art, drama, music or related creative field.
• Experience with children or young people, preferably SEND.
• Understanding of autism or SEMH needs and educational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' development through creative activities.
• Use art, drama, music, movement and sensory approaches to engage learners.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support aligned to EHCP targets.
• Help pupils build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver personalised learning strategies.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
