Job summary

William Strike Ltd. is seeking an Artisan Baker for our Restaurant at Strikes Garden Centre. This part-time, permanent role requires enthusiasm for quality, freshness and consistent daily production of baked goods.

As part of the kitchen team you will follow recipes, operate baking equipment, decorate items and collaborate with the Chef/Restaurant Manager to plan production. Weekend flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Daily production of freshly baked scones, cakes and desserts.
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure quality and quantity.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes. Operate ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.
• Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner.
• Work closely with the Chef/Restaurant Manager to plan production.
• Monitor stock levels and contribute to ordering.
• Work efficiently to minimize waste.

Job description

We are looking for a Part Time Permanent Baker to join the team in our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay start at £13.27 per hourdependent on experience.

The hours for this role are 16 per week over 2days. Weekend work may be required in this role so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Artisan Baker you will work as part of the kitchen team to produce a range of freshly baked goods each day. You’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about quality and freshness and produce that special something for our customers to have at the end of their meal.

What you will be doing as an Artisan Baker?

• You will be responsible for the daily production of freshly baked scones, cakes and desserts.
• Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and quantity of baked goods
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes. Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.
• Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
• Work closely with the Chef/Restaurant Manager to plan production.
• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
