Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking an experienced Artisan Baker to join a busy craft bakery team in the City of London. The role focuses on sourdough bread production, pastry shaping, and laminated doughs, with full involvement from prep to bake.

You will work with high-hydration doughs and long fermentation, producing artisan pastries and viennoiserie while maintaining strict hygiene standards. Early shifts are expected in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Artisan Baker.
• Sourdough fermentation and bread shaping skills.
• Experience with pastry and laminated dough production.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bakery.
• Willingness to work early mornings.

Artisan Baker

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Artisan Baker to join a busy craft bakery team.

The successful candidate will have excellent hands‑on experience in sourdough bread production, pastry shaping and laminated doughs, with a strong understanding of the entire baking process from preparation through to the final bake.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, shape and bake sourdough breads and artisan pastries.
• Work confidently with high‑hydration doughs and long fermentation processes.
• Produce high‑quality laminated pastries and viennoiserie.
• Manage oven temperatures and baking cycles to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Artisan Baker.
• Strong sourdough fermentation and bread-shaping skills.
• Experience with pastry and laminated dough production.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced bakery environment.
• Reliable, hardworking and comfortable with early morning shifts.

PPE Needed: Whites and Non‑slip shoes
