Job summary

Kisimul Group is seeking an Art Tutor for SEN at Calman Colaiste College in Thorney to support learners aged 16-25 with personalised learning pathways, focusing on life skills and academic achievement.

The role requires collaboration with the education team to deliver person-centred plans and potentially teach additional subjects as needed, across several locations within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with education teams to develop person-centred pathways.
• Flexibility to deliver additional subject areas when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and oversee delivery of the Post 19 Learning Curriculum.
• Ensure each learner has an individualised learning plan focusing on life skills and academic progress.
• Contribute to evidence required by external authorities and inspectors; be accountable to Senior Management within the Kisimul Group.
• Ensure learners are engaged in accredited learning pathways and monitor staff input.
• Be flexible to work across multiple locations as required.

ART TUTOR - SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS - CALMAN COLAISTE COLLEGE - THORNEY

We are recruiting for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Art tutor within our established further education provision Calman Colaiste based at Thorney, near Peterborough. Please see our FAQ's.

The tutor will be responsible for ensuring that learners aged 16-25 have an individualised learning pathway which is focused on the continued acquisition of life skills and functional learning, coupled with opportunities for continuing academic achievement.

The tutor will be expected to work in collaboration with the education team to formulate and deliver person centred pathways that cater for the very diverse requirements of our cohort. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will deliver additional subject areas, if and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing and overseeing the delivery and implementation of the Post 19 Learning Curriculum.
• Ensure all students have an individualised learning plan, focused on continued acquisition of life skills and maximising their academic abilities.
• Contribute to the provision of outcome driven evidence as required by external authorities and inspectorates and be accountable to assigned Senior Management within the Kisimul Group.
• Ensure learners are engaged effectively and purposefully in line with individualised accredited learning pathways and monitor the input of supporting staff
• Flexible to work across a number of locations, if and when dictated by relevant circumstances
