New Directions Education is seeking enthusiastic Art Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in the Harrogate area. You will deliver engaging Art lessons and be prepared to provide general cover when required, offering flexibility and variety in teaching opportunities.

Applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Art in secondary settings. Excellent communication, organisation and a positive, adaptable approach are essential to support pupils

The Role

As an Art Teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire students through creative and practical learning experiences while supporting schools with their day-to-day staffing needs.

Responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Encouraging creativity, self-expression, and artistic development
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Providing general cover across other subject areas when required
• Supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and school leaders
