Hays Education is partnering with a thriving and inclusive secondary school in Bradford to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher. This is a full-time temporary role delivering Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 with an immediate start.

You will plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms, assess progress and contribute to enrichment activities within a supportive school community that values professional development.

Qualifications

  • Must have QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design or related subject.
  • Experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for creative education and student success.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and inspire young learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons across KS3–KS4.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress.
  • Support students of varying abilities to reach potential.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and attendance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive excellent outcomes.

Your New Role

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will encourage creativity, develop students' artistic skills and foster a passion for visual arts through imaginative and well-planned teaching.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this Art Teacher job, you will ideally have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for creative education and student success.
