Job summary

Justteachers Ltd are supporting a Bradford based secondary school to appoint an Art and Design Teacher starting September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role which will become permanent with the school.

You will plan and deliver GCSE-ready lessons, develop technical skills across a range of media, and contribute to extra-curricular art activities while collaborating with colleagues to enrich the wider curriculum.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required to teach art at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts.
• Experience teaching Art & Design at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive and student-centred learning.
• Two school-based references.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking to KS4
• Support students in developing technical skills across a range of media
• Prepare pupils for GCSE
• Contribute to extra-curricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and trips
• Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the wider curriculum

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
