Are you passionate about supporting serving Armed Forces personnel, veterans, reservists and their families? Do you want to make a meaningful difference to the lives of those who have served our country?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and customer-focused individual to strengthen our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and ensure that members of the Armed Forces Community receive the support and recognition they deserve. This exciting role will act as the single point of contact for Armed Forces-related enquiries across the Council, helping veterans, serving personnel, reservists and their families access housing, welfare, employment, health and support services.
You will work directly with individuals and families, helping them overcome barriers, access appropriate services and achieve positive outcomes. You will manage a caseload of serving personnel, veterans, reservists and their families, providing advice, guidance and signposting across a range of areas. Working collaboratively with internal departments, partner agencies, charities and support organisations, you will help develop and improve pathways of support for the Armed Forces Community whilst promoting the principles and commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant.
If you are passionate about supporting the Armed Forces Community and want to play a key role in delivering positive outcomes for those who have served, we would love to hear from you. Experience of working with veterans, Armed Forces personnel or military charities would be advantageous but is not essential. South Tyneside Council is proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant and welcomes applications from serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families.
