Job summary

Bardwood Support Services is seeking an Area Support Officer in Taunton to help maintain safety and security in a busy retail environment. You will patrol premises, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents with calm, decisive action.

Role requires SIA licensing, a track record of at least five years, and the ability to work day, night, and weekend shifts. Training and support are provided as you progress with the client.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• A verifiable 5-year work/career history is required.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Candidate must be physically fit for the tasks.
• Ability to perform under pressure and in demanding environments.

About the role

Title – Area Support Officer

Pay Rate – £ 12.71

Location – Taunton

Shift Timings – Must be available to work both day and night shifts, including weekends and be willing to travel reasonable distance as required.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.

• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
