Dumfries and Galloway Council in Scotland is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead Facilities Services across schools and community buildings. You will manage catering, cleaning, building facilities and school crossing services, ensuring high-quality, compliant operations and strong customer focus.

As part of the Facilities Services team, you’ll oversee staffing, planning, and delivery across multiple locations, maintaining health and safety standards and supporting continuous improvement

• Lead, supervise and support employees across Facilities Services.
• Ensure adequate staffing to maintain services effectively.
• Monitor catering, cleaning, building facilities and school crossing services.
• Collaborate with schools, Head Teachers and Council officers.
• Support recruitment, training and development of employees.
• Manage attendance and performance per Council policies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food safety regulations.
• Respond to customer enquiries and complaints.
• Provide operational cover across the wider service when needed.
