Job summary

Falkirk Council is seeking an ambitious Facilities Coordinator (Soft FM) to lead Cleaning and Janitorial services across its school and corporate estate. You will oversee planning, delivery and continuous improvement, ensuring safe, compliant and customer-focused operations.

As a senior member of the Facilities Management team, you will manage budgets, teams and stakeholder relationships, driving service excellence and sustainability across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing facilities, property, or frontline services.
• Experience leading and motivating large and diverse teams.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience managing budgets, performance and resources.
• Knowledge of applicable health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop Cleaning and Janitorial teams across the Falkirk Council estate.
• Plan and coordinate workloads to ensure effective service delivery.
• Drive service improvement and transformation projects.
• Support delivery of strategic priorities and performance targets.
• Manage budgets and resources to ensure value for money.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and policies.
• Collaborate with schools, managers, contractors and partner organisations.
• Support emergency preparedness and business continuity.
• Lead service redesign and modernisation initiatives.
