You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team in Cambridgeshire, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What you’ll be doing:
As an area scheduler, you will programme a wide variety of Highways Maintenance works, submitting and managing the permit process and scheduling the repairs of safety defects.
Are you a strong coordinator? You’ll make sure all works are planned and coordinated, working with the delivery teams to update highway maintenance programmes with progress and meet contractual deadlines
You'll liaise with Inspectors and Local Highways Officers to ensure all works order information is provided to successfully schedule the work
You’ll have the opportunity to identify savings and efficiencies where appropriate
Have you used causeway before? You’ll input job details and upload works orders to mobile Causeway devices, as well as provide technical support to the operatives
Are you a strong collaborator? You’ll work with Area Managers, Supervisors, Local Highways Officers and inspectors to provide updates and minimise issues with timing and delivery.
You'll escalate programme delays to the Area Managers and Supervisors to minimise issues with timing and delivery.
You'll Handle in Hours emergencies and organise the necessary attendance within the contractual attendance timescale.
You’ll create and update Street works permits and apply for utility stat plans when required
