Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the S postcode area in the United Kingdom. You will sell a full range of forklift and warehouse equipment to diverse business types, collaborating with other departments to maintain service levels and retain customers.

You will manage relationships, hit volume targets, plan prospecting, and provide forecasts. Strong communication, numerical skills, and a commercial mindset are required for success.

Qualifications

• Industry experience preferred; Capital Equipment or Engineering background encouraged.
• Direct sales experience (B2B) is essential.
• Commercial mindset with strong business acumen.
• PC literate and proficient with basic software tools.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written.
• Numerical competence for quotes and forecasts.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships and develop opportunities with existing customers
• Hit volume targets, market share and coverage
• Plan weekly prospecting aligned with sales activity
• Provide accurate weekly forecast as required
• Identify customer requirements and conduct site surveys
• Produce accurate quotes for orders
• Present quotes with financial solutions
• Demonstrate products when appropriate
