Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a commercially minded Area Sales Manager for a Southern territory, from Plymouth to Milton Keynes, selling cutting tools and drilling equipment through distributors and tool suppliers. You will take ownership of an established £1 million account base and actively develop new opportunities.

You will build relationships with distributors, demonstrate products, and provide practical technical advice while expanding market share and balancing existing accounts

Qualifications

• Proven experience in field sales or account management.
• Experience selling tools or industrial equipment is advantageous.
• Hands-on understanding of tools and their applications.
• Able to deliver product demonstrations and explain technical benefits.
• Experience selling through distributors or resellers.
• Proactive, self-motivated with territory ownership.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established account base worth approximately £1 million.
• Develop new business opportunities and build the sales pipeline.
• Sell metal cutting tools and drilling equipment through distributors, tool suppliers and smaller businesses.
• Build relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
• Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing the benefits and applications of the product range.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and expand market share within your territory.
• Provide customers with technical product advice and practical solutions.
• Manage your territory effectively, balancing existing account development with new business acquisition.
