Job summary

Chandler Harris Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Area Sales Manager to hire and sell a range of ground works, fencing, hoarding and general construction equipment to main and sub-contractors. The role is field-based across Bristol and North Somerset/Gloucestershire with one day a week in-branch meetings.

You will manage new business development with some account management, supported by strong branch and depot networks. A long-term career path is offered in a market-leading company.

Qualifications

• Must have field sales experience within the construction industry.
• Experience selling into Main/Sub Contractors.
• Self-sufficient and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Sell and hire Ground Works, Fencing & Hoarding and general construction equipment to main and sub-contractors.
• Work in the field with regular visits to the allocated depot/branch (Bristol, North Somerset/Gloucestershire).
• Attend branch meetings one day per week and conduct most work in the field/home-based.
• Provide great leads and support through a strong back-up system.

Market leader within the Hire and Sale of Ground Works, Fencing & Hoarding and General Construction Equipment requires a field based salesperson to hire and sell to small and large contractors covering Bristol, North Somerset/Gloucestershire. Our client has an excellent name in the industry, if you have field sales experience within the construction industry with experience of selling into small and large contractors and would like to know more then get in touch ASAP!!

The Role:

• As the Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for Sales and Hire of the company's range of Ground Works, Fencing & Hoarding and General Construction Equipment
• New business focused with some account management also with circa 20 regularly spending accounts on patch.
• Selling to Main and Sub Contractors, the target market is huge (the construction industry)
• Your role is field based with regular visits to your allocated depot/branch which is on patch, your geographical area is Bristol, North Somerset/Gloucestershire.
• Meetings in branch one day a week and then the rest of the time will be field/home based
• Great leads provided, excellent support and back up.

The Person:

• Must have field sales experience within the construction industry
• Previous experience of selling into Main/Sub Contractors
• Happy being branch based one day per week
• Self sufficient.

• £35k - £40k basic salary dependant on experience
