Job Overview

A highly driven field sales manager/area sales manager is required for our market-leading, award-winning, and reputable construction engineering client to develop sales within the London region. In return, there is a good salary of circa £50k-£55k+ plus a company car (dependent on experience) and excellent benefits including flexible working, annual bonus, contributory pension, holidays, and long-term career prospects.

Key Skills and Experience (Essential)

• Proven field sales, area management, and account management experience within the construction plant, hire, or rental industries, especially selling onto construction sites.
• Experience selling technical products such as construction machinery, heavy plant hire machinery, and related equipment to construction sites.
• Knowledge of and experience selling construction or hire plant equipment like access platforms, cranes, lifts, and lifting machinery.
• A full driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the Southern and London regions, with 4 days per week on the road and 1 day remote.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to develop new and existing clients.
• Previous roles in similar sales capacities within the construction or hire plant industries.

Role Purpose

Develop new and existing sales of plant equipment into key accounts within London and the South of England. This role suits an experienced sales professional with a background in selling heavy construction plant or plant hire/rental services to construction sites, enjoying a field sales lifestyle.
