Job summary

A leading food processing machinery manufacturer is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage a portfolio of blue-chip accounts in the food industry across South West England and South Wales. This home-based position offers a basic salary of approximately £55,000 with uncapped commission potential of around £30,000, along with benefits such as a hybrid company car and private healthcare. Ideal candidates will have a strong sales background in process or packaging machinery and a technical engineering background.

Overview

Area Sales Manager role at TieTalent, covering the South West of England (south and west of Birmingham) and South Wales. Home-based.

Responsibilities

• Manage an established sales area and a portfolio of blue-chip accounts in the food industry (meat, cheese, pet food, bakery, dairy and confectionery).
• Sell food processing and/or packaging machinery to customers in the region.
• Perform demo and installation of basic equipment and participate in project management as needed.
• Grow turnover organically over time.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales of process or packaging machinery or similar into the food industry.
• Specific experience selling into the meat, cheese, pet food or bakery markets would be advantageous.
• Ideally a technical background and engineering qualifications.
