Are you ready to drive sales growth and make a significant impact in a dynamic market? We're looking for a proactive and strategic Area Sales Manager to join our team in Ireland. If you have a passion for sales, building strong customer relationships, and implementing effective strategies, this role is perfect for you!

Your Role: Overview

As the Area Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for expanding our market share, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring sustainable revenue generation. You'll play a key role in enhancing our brand presence and business performance by building strong customer relationships, implementing sales strategies, and overseeing distributor promotional activities. You will be part of our UK sales team, working closely with the Leader, Ireland.

  • Navigating a competitive market with established brands and aggressive pricing strategies.
  • Aligning sales growth with margin expectations consistently.
  • Managing distributor relationships and their commitment to stock and promotions.
  • Securing long-term commitments from customers and project stakeholders.
  • Adapting to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and economic fluctuations.

This role offers the chance to expand our market presence by securing new customer segments and strengthening relationships with key industry stakeholders. You'll leverage new product launches and distributor partnerships to enhance brand visibility and sales performance. Additionally, you'll have the potential to influence regional sales strategy, develop expertise in market trends, and contribute to long-term business growth.

Your Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Manage growth in alignment with company margin guidelines and sales targets.
  • Deliver sustained improvement of market share within the customer group.
  • Identify project leads and oversee the business from specification to order, ensuring targets are met.
  • Achieve sell-out targets where applicable.
  • Improve product margin mix across accounts through strategic sales and customer engagement.
  • Drive the sell-in of new Grohe products, securing display and stock commitments where relevant.
  • Implement distributor promotion activities to support market growth.
  • Train customer personnel to strengthen brand advocacy and secure additional Grohe endorsers.

Your Skills

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the bathroom/kitchen, plumbing, or paint space
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas
  • Growth-driven while maintaining margins
  • Customer-focused, adaptable, and solution-oriented
  • Outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Aligns sales efforts with company goals
