Job summary

The Cynergy Group is seeking an Area Manager to lead and develop a portfolio of six residential care homes in Leicestershire. You will coach Home Managers, drive quality and regulatory compliance, and travel regularly to ensure consistent service standards across the portfolio.

You will work closely with senior leadership to improve occupancy, governance, and care outcomes while fostering growth opportunities within a family-owned organisation.

Qualifications

• This role requires extensive experience in Area/Operations/Regional leadership in elderly care.
• The candidate should have strong knowledge of CQC regulations and governance.
• Demonstrated track record of improving care quality and operational performance.
• Proven leadership, coaching and staff-management abilities.
• Commercial awareness with occupancy, staffing and agency usage insight.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Leicestershire.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight across six care homes in Leicestershire.
• Coach Home Managers to achieve high operational performance.
• Drive quality improvements, governance and CQC compliance.
• Conduct quality assurance visits, audits and action plans.
• Monitor KPIs including occupancy, staffing, and agency usage.
• Support Home Managers with recruitment and succession planning.
• Implement and maintain action plans for service improvements.
• Build strong relationships with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Support regulatory inspections and adhere to requirements.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to standardise portfolio-wide practices.
