Overview

Area Maintenance Technician — Salary £28,540.46 per annum. Location: Ayrshire, Scotland. Shift pattern: Days. Hours per day: 8; Hours per week: 40. This is a permanent vacancy that will close in 2 months at 23:59 BST.

Job Role: Area Maintenance Technician. Hours of Work: 40 hours / week, typically Monday – Friday (flexibility required 24/7).

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations, including non-technical repairs and minor preventive planned maintenance (PPMs).
  • Assist in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, electrical, and mechanical plant works at various sites.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards, efficiently, and in compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales; complete PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within timescales and ensure paperwork is accurate.
  • Respond promptly to service call requests, assess job requirements, and carry out repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure tools and equipment required for maintenance are available and serviceable at all times.
  • Work may require attendance at other sites within the Division to carry out work.
  • Collaborate with company and client colleagues to maintain quality standards and represent the company professionally.
  • Support other City technicians/teams with major or minor maintenance work.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with specific KPIs; monitor and update the Mercury system with live job updates.
  • Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times; complete mandatory online training and Evolve modules; effectively communicate with team members and management; ensure all costs are approved.
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum.
  • Any trade qualifications would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance is required.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a range of equipment; quality of repairs and maintenance; speed and efficiency of work; problem solving.
  • Good PC skills – Apple and Android.
  • Response to service call requests within agreed response times; achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales; maintenance of Health and Safety policy; strong client and city colleague relationships and feedback.
  • Full driving license; strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
