Job summary

Greene King is recruiting an Area Kitchen Manager to lead the Leicester Arms kitchen while supporting kitchen teams across the area. This hybrid role requires you to spend four days at the Leicester Arms and one day on area responsibilities, working with General Managers and kitchen leaders to maintain standards, improve food quality, and deliver training.

You will recruit, onboard and develop kitchen colleagues, identify skills gaps, and share best practice across pubs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a high-volume kitchen in a senior role.
• Proven track record in training and developing teams.
• Ability to travel between pubs within the area.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen operation at the Leicester Arms, ensuring every service runs smoothly and consistently.
• Provide training, coaching and operational guidance to area kitchen teams.
• Recruit, onboard and develop kitchen colleagues across pubs.
• Identify skills gaps and development opportunities with General Managers.
• Deliver practical training to improve food quality, organization and performance.
• Support new kitchen managers and chefs as they settle in.
• Step into other pubs to provide leadership when needed.
• Communicate clearly with teams to ensure high-quality meals on time.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.
• Ensure allergen procedures and health & safety regulations are followed.
• Share best practices and drive new ways of working across the area.
• Lead by example and foster an inclusive working environment.
• Analyse stock performance to identify cost savings and support menu roll-outs.
