Job summary

Equans is seeking an Area Facilities Manager to lead a multi‑disciplinary FM team in North London. The role focuses on delivering hard and soft services to meet contractual and client KPIs while ensuring excellent SHEQ compliance and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will line manage two supervisors, coordinate M&E subcontractors, and drive safety, quality, and cost efficiency across the region within Equans’ proven framework.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a large, complex team in FM.
  • Strong customer focus and high service standards in FM/public sector environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure statutory and company procedures compliance across stakeholder groups.
  • Line management responsibility for Supervisors delivering Hard and Soft Services.
  • Manage Mechanical and Electrical bias workforce and sub-contracted M&E services.
  • Oversee Legionella control regulations and best practices.
  • Manage soft services workforce and sub-contracted horticultural, pest and waste services.
  • Train, develop and review direct reports including succession planning.
  • Improve service delivery with operational leads across full service range.
  • Contribute to contract financial performance and procurement of subcontractors.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
