Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Architectural Technologist for a Northampton-based role. The candidate will join a growing practice and contribute to technical design, planning submissions, and site coordination on commercial projects.

Requirements include a relevant Architectural Technology degree, progression toward CIAT chartership, and UK practice experience, with proficiency in Revit and strong detailing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Architectural Technology is required.
• Working towards CIAT chartership is preferred.
• Post-qualification experience as an Architectural Technologist in a UK practice is required.
• Proficient with Revit and solid knowledge of UK building regulations are essential.
• Experience managing projects across sectors and delivering technical packages is expected.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with a multidisciplinated design team to provide technical design solutions.
• Produce technical packages from conception through to completion.
• Submit planning and building regulation applications.
• Conduct site visits to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provide architectural design services and project management for commercial projects.

They are on the lookout for an Experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to hit the ground running for their team in Northampton.

Duties for the role of Architectural Technologist:

• Work alongside a multidisciplined design team and provide technical design solutions to the project

• Provide architectural design services and project management to commercial projects
