Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex, design-led projects from developed design through construction in Central Birmingham. You will collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors to produce high-quality architectural information while adhering to UK regulations.

The role emphasizes strong Revit/BIM proficiency, effective communication, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects

Qualifications

  • ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience within a relevant role.
  • Proven track record delivering architectural projects through RIBA stages 3 onwards and into construction.
  • Strong design and technical knowledge with the ability to develop projects from concept through to detailed delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows advantageous, with good knowledge of other 3D software also considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead / assist with the design and delivery of projects from developed design through to construction, producing high-quality and coordinated architectural information.
  • Work collaboratively with external design-led architectural practices, consultants, contractors and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop design proposals and architectural information across a range of RIBA stages, with particular emphasis on RIBA stages 3 onwards.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication throughout all stages of project delivery.
  • Attend and contribute to design team meetings, client meetings, technical workshops and site meetings as required.
  • Ensure designs and project information comply with current UK Building Regulations, relevant legislation and planning requirements.
  • Assist with the production and coordination of detailed drawing packages, specifications and technical information across a range of projects.
  • Contribute to project delivery using Revit and BIM processes within an established BIM-accredited environment.

Position: Architect

Location: Central Birmingham (New Street & Jewellery Quarter)

Salary: Up to £45,000 + hybrid working + further benefits to be discussed

We are seeking a talented and motivated Architect to join a well-established architectural practice specialising in the successful delivery of complex and design-led projects, based in their Central Birmingham office. The practice is recognised for its expertise in developing ambitious design concepts into high-quality, coordinated and deliverable schemes and regularly collaborates with a number of leading design-led architectural studios across a diverse range of sectors. Our client are receptive in their search and would also like CVs from experienced Architects with strong experience across RIBA stages 3 onwards.

The successful Architect will play a key role in the design and delivery of high-quality architectural projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and external design practices throughout the project lifecycle. This position is well suited to an experienced Architect with strong design and technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality projects within a highly collaborative environment. Our client have a diverse portfolio including large-scale commercial office developments, high-rise residential, mixed-use regeneration and masterplan projects, retail, leisure and hospitality developments, industrial and energy infrastructure projects as well as further education projects.

Architect Overview

  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, current planning policies and associated legislation.
  • Prior experience working within the Residential, Industrial or Commercial sectors
  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and alongside external design practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Central Birmingham.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE - More for a Senior Architect.
