Associate | Architectural Designer at A2

SALARY: £31,000 - £40,000 (with bonuses and paid overtime)

LOCATION: Solent Studio, Fareham

ROLE TYPE: Full Time, Permanent

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Minimum 5 years

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to work on small and large-scale projects, playing a crucial role in project delivery. The ideal candidate will be architecturally minded, confident in their abilities, and knowledgeable about housebuilding intricacies to produce well-thought-out schemes. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong proficiency in technical architecture, especially in early design stages
• Solid understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work (stages 4-5)
• Experience producing detailed technical drawings and planning packages for residential schemes, compliant with UK regulations
• Up-to-date knowledge of NHBC standards
• Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
• Experience in a similar role within an architectural practice or developer
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the UK
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Based in the UK with the ability to commute to Fareham

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare architectural designs using AutoCAD and traditional methods
• Develop specifications, proposals, and planning applications for various projects
• Create concept designs and feasibility studies for client schemes
• Coordinate with team members to meet project deadlines and budgets
• Engage with clients, partners, and consultants to fulfill project requirements
• Produce scaled drawings and work within a team on large projects
• Work to client expectations and liaise with consultants
