Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an Architectural Technician to join a well-established multidisciplinary practice in Flintshire. The role focuses on residential projects, progressing planning applications to detailed construction drawings, and ensuring technical standards are met.

You will work with AutoCAD on a range of schemes, contribute to technical specifications, and collaborate across sites. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology.
• Previous post-qualification experience as Architectural Technician in a UK practice.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience on residential projects and managing projects through various stages.
• Strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit planning applications, drawings and associated documentation.
• Develop initial planning proposals through to detailed construction drawings.
• Attend site visits and ensure projects meet required technical standards.

Duties for the role of Architectural Technician include:

• Prepare and submit planning applications, drawings, and associated documentation


• Develop initial planning proposals through to detailed construction drawings


• Attend site visits and ensure projects meet the required technical standards


• Prepare technical specifications, tender packages, and detailed working drawing packages

Skills and experience for the role of Architectural Technician:

• Relevant qualification or degree in Architectural Technology


• Previous post-qualification experience working as an Architectural Technician within a UK practice


• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD


• Experience working on residential projects and managing projects through the various stages


• Strong technical knowledge and excellent presentation skills
