Architectural Technician in the Essex area?

I am working with a close-knit firm who are looking for an experienced Architectural Technician to join their team in Chelmsford.

As an Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, ensuring full compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards. While Revit experience is beneficial, it is not essential.

You will play a key role in delivering projects across the residential sector, working with national housebuilders and private developers. The role offers excellent career growth potential for candidates who can demonstrate strong technical ability and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations and standards
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver successful projects
• Manage multiple projects efficiently, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Work within a team environment while taking initiative on assigned tasks
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an architectural practice
• Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong portfolio of technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Experience in Revit (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative mindset
  
  

Salary will be based of experience and ability but is expected to be between £34,000 - £38,000.
