Job summary
Prime Appointments is seeking a Senior Metalwork Supervisor in Basildon to lead daily workshop operations and deliver high-quality bespoke fabrication projects. You will interpret technical drawings, manage workflow and personnel, mentor fabricators and welders, and ensure compliance with H&S standards while liaising with Design and Production teams to meet tight deadlines.
The role requires proven supervisory experience in architectural metalwork and a strong knowledge of sheet metal
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in bespoke, architectural, or high-end metalwork.
- Advanced ability to read complex engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, welding processes, and workshop machinery.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily workshop operations, managing workflow, labor, and timelines.
- Interpret technical drawings and solve fabrication/assembly challenges.
- Oversee standards to ensure components meet architectural specifications.
- Mentor and supervise skilled fabricators and welders.
- Enforce H&S standards while liaising with Design and Production teams.
