Job summary

Legacy Ironworks Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder for our workshop team in the United Kingdom. The role covers fabrication of railings, balustrades, gates and other bespoke metalwork, with both workshop and site installation tasks.

You will work from drawings, perform MIG welding, and ensure high-quality finishes. The position is primarily workshop-based with occasional site travel, and the candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, delivering precise,

Qualifications

• Experience as a metal fabricator/welder leveraging MIG welding with accuracy.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and translate to finished parts.
• Proficient in cutting, drilling, grinding and finishing steel in workshop and on site.
• Experience with heritage or traditional metalwork is beneficial.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in workshop and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of railings, balustrades, gates, handrails and related architectural metalwork.
• MIG welding and general fabrication across workshop and on-site tasks.
• Cutting, drilling, grinding, linishing and preparing steel components.
• Reading and working accurately from fabrication drawings and plans.
• Assisting with site installation of completed metalwork items.
• Maintaining a clean, organised working area and safe working practices.
• Travelling to sites for installation when required.
