Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is Part-Time.

Responsibilities:

1. Partnership teams are responsible for delivering discretionary services in regional offices, working with local partners to improve quality of life through heritage conservation and creative reuse.
2. Their work involves projects over months or years, requiring a range of skills including advocacy, engagement, research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and repair and conservation.
3. As a key member of the regional Partnerships team, architects and surveyors advise on proposals for repair and alteration of heritage assets and provide guidance on historic townscapes and landscapes, impacting conservation and community well-being.
4. Qualifications include a professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or chartered RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA, or RICS), or working towards these.
5. Extensive experience in building repair and project management.
6. Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
7. Excellent understanding of building construction, repair, alteration, and adaptation methods.
8. Ability to approach repair problems practically and creatively.
9. Knowledge of current construction industry regulations.
