Job summary

Confero Recruitment Group is assisting a Glasgow-based architectural practice to find an Architect or Architectural Assistant for high-end residential projects. This role offers genuine flexibility with fully remote work and a three-day week, ideal for balancing a rewarding architectural career with family commitments.

You will contribute to technical development across RIBA Stages 2-4, coordinating concept designs, planning drawings, and construction information.

Qualifications

• Architect or Architectural Assistant with technical focus and residential project experience.
• Experience delivering RIBA Stages 2-4 for residential schemes.
• Proficiency in coordinating design packages and planning drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept designs into coordinated design packages.
• Produce planning drawings and supporting information.
• Prepare technical drawing packages and construction information.
• Assist with Building Warrant applications.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs meet high technical and aesthetic standards.

High-End Residential Projects | Remote | 3 Days per Week | Glasgow-Based Practice

Are you an Architect or experienced Architectural Assistant looking for a role that offers genuine flexibility?

Our client is a small, design-led architectural practice based in Glasgow, specialising in bespoke, high-end residential projects across Scotland. They are are seeking support on the delivery of luxury new-build homes, extensions, renovations and residential developments.

This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the true flexibility of both a part-time and fully remote role. The role is ideally suited to someone looking to balance a rewarding architectural career alongside family commitments, personal pursuits, or a healthier work-life balance.

The Role

You will play a key part in the technical development and delivery of projects, primarily covering RIBA Stages 2-4, including:

• Developing concept designs into coordinated design packages
• Producing planning drawings and supporting information
• Preparing technical drawing packages and construction information
• Assisting with Building Warrant applications
• Liaising with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
• Ensuring designs are developed to a high technical and aesthetic standard

What We're Looking For

• An Architect, Architectural Technologist/Technician or a technically focused experienced Part II Architectural Assistant.
• Strong technical understanding of residential construction is key
• Experience working through RIBA Stages 2-4
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Experience within high-end residential projects would be highly desirable
