Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Oxford is seeking an experienced Architect to join a studio focused on conservation and sensitive historic buildings, delivering high-quality schemes across a varied portfolio.

You will develop designs from concept through to technical delivery, produce ArchiCAD drawings, and liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and planning authorities, applying UK regulations with care.

Qualifications

• ARB registered Architect with UK experience
• Experience on conservation/heritage or listed buildings
• Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD and producing detailed drawings
• Good knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Location: Oxford

Salary: £35-40,000

An established architectural practice is looking for an experienced Architect to join its team, working across a varied portfolio of high-quality projects with a particular focus on conservation and sensitive existing buildings. The successful candidate will have strong experience working in ArchiCAD, alongside a solid understanding of conservation principles and the challenges involved in working with historic and listed buildings. This is an excellent opportunity for an Architect who enjoys working across projects from concept through to delivery and is looking to join a collaborative, design-focused practice.

The Role

• * Working across a range of residential and heritage-led projects
• * Developing designs from concept through to technical delivery
• * Producing high-quality drawings and documentation using ArchiCAD
• * Working sensitively with existing, historic and listed buildings
• * Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities
• * Supporting projects through the planning, listed building and technical stages
• * Contributing to the wider design and development of projects within the studio

The Candidate

• * Qualified, ARB registered, Architect with several years of UK experience
• * Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD is essential
• * Proven experience working on conservation, heritage or listed building projects
• * Good knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
• * Strong technical understanding and attention to detail
• * Confident producing detailed drawing packages and technical information
• * Excellent communication and organisational skills
• * Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
• * A thoughtful and considered approach to design and the existing built environment
