Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Leeds is seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to join our growing environmental team. You will undertake tree surveys, assessments, and arboricultural reporting across a UK portfolio.

The role involves Visual Tree Assessments, BS5837:2012 surveys, preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements, and providing clear reports to clients, with hybrid working and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture, or be currently working towards one.
• Previous professional tree survey experience.
• Experience undertaking Visual Tree Assessments.
• Knowledge and practical experience of BS5837:2012 development surveys.
• Experience producing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Method Statements.
• Strong technical report-writing skills.
• Confidence communicating with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GIS/CAD and tree survey software.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to manage priorities within a busy consultancy environment.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking tree surveys and assessments across a variety of development and infrastructure projects.
• Completing Visual Tree Assessments (VTA).
• Undertaking development-related tree surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012.
• Preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
• Producing clear, accurate and technically robust reports.
• Providing arboricultural advice to clients and project stakeholders.
• Working collaboratively with environmental specialists across multidisciplinary projects.
• Supporting the delivery of projects from initial survey through to reporting and recommendations.

Your new role As an Arboricultural Consultant, you will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, undertaking tree surveys, assessments and arboricultural reporting while supporting the successful delivery of projects for a range of clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking tree surveys and assessments across a variety of development and infrastructure projects
• Completing Visual Tree Assessments (VTA)
• Undertaking development-related tree surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012
• Preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements
• Producing clear, accurate and technically robust reports
• Providing arboricultural advice to clients and project stakeholders
• Working collaboratively with environmental specialists across multidisciplinary projects
• Supporting the delivery of projects from initial survey through to reporting and recommendations
• Travelling to project sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays where required

What you'll need to succeed
